At the age of about ten, after years of organ lessons, Bob sat at a drum set and was hooked. His first mismatched set was also his first garage band with which the crowning achievement was the talent show in grade school. He played in the Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Marching Band in high school and was awarded with 6 medals at state level in Ohio’s solo and ensemble competition. Rock bands followed in Northeastern Ohio with influences of Steely Dan, The Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Who, Lynrd Sknyrd, Allman Brothers, Poco, Little Feat, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, The Band and many more. After playing in a 5 piece band named Crosswind, Bob traveled throughout Europe and the Western U.S. for several years and followed his heart to Milwaukee where he started hand drum lessons in the mid 90’s. At the turn of the millineum Bob spotted Tommy Blood at one of the Tasting Room’s famous Friday night jam’s and said he would like to sit in with him sometime, in which Tom replied: “Why not now?”, and, well the rest is history. They’ve been playing together ever since. After the silence of many years Bob is once again making fire with sticks playing the Soul of Rock and Roll.
